Annick Goutal’s Tenue De Soirée is set to reveal a sexier look for the acclaimed French luxury fragrance house. I know it’s frowned upon in hard-core fragrance circles to talk about the design of the bottle, but you can’t deny the deep purple ombre design with oversized detachable pom-pom is striking. The bottle is a story in itself, the engraved charm which clinks against the bottle, is reminiscent of clinking champagne glasses. The actual fragrance created by Camille Goutal and Mathieu Nardin belongs to the Chypre gourmand group; inspired by the anticipation of a promising night in Paris.
The notes will be updated after the official launch as the brand are keeping the notes close to their chest. What I can tell you is that it is powdery, with a honeyed warmth and deliciously sweet, but not sugary. The main accord revolves around velvety iris and patchouli. Annick Goutal Tenue de Soiree will be available 30 January.
