The Piaggi Effect
Cat prints ( I hate animal prints that are actual prints of animals), 90′s Versace like baroque, fluffy slippers, feather boas; this crazy clash of styles, and general mish mash of looks are all separate elements that I hate. Somehow I don’t know why I don’t like this collection, I love it. The idea is so garish and over the top Anna Dello Russo you really can’t help but love especially as the designer was so creative about how it was styled layering the sequined top over heavily gold fringed loose trousers; pure maximalist piling on more colour rather than having one key piece but several. The concept of your very stylish grandmother holding on to everything that made her quirky in her youth, but saying feck it I want to wear my flourescent pink fluffy slippers, and my silk dressing gown outside, I look fabulous, and what?! Annie Phillips said she designed the collection for different characters, all these women were friends cohesive in their eclectic style but still individual, I want to be a part of that gang.
