It was an invite to an intimate dinner hosted by Asos  that made me venture 40 floors up inside the Heron Tower to the Duck and Waffle.  It was an evening of good company, amazing rustic fresh cuisine, and a preview of the high summer Asos Curve range.

Jenny bless her, is an avid fan of the restaurant , and ordered more than enough, we were spoiled by  platters of appetizers, starters, mains, and desserts. The Roasted Cosmopolitan kept coming; a grey goose citron, triple sec, cranberry conserve and lime, roasted bone marrow seasoning the delicious alcoholic kick to the meal. We started with bacon wrapped dates  a perfect combination of sweet, and savoury, then on to thinly sliced Scallops ( a first for me) atop apple with black truffle, and lime; delicious bite sized morsels I wish there was more.  The bitter leaf salad with Stilton orange, and hazelnut was moreish, but still light enough as the opening act to the duck and waffle dish. It was a duck leg confit, with fried duck egg, and mustard maple syrup, I will be revisiting the restaurant for that dish alone.  The Piece de resistance was  a scoop of peanut butter ice cream, warm chocolate brownie and caramel, that dessert didn’t stand a chance with me. See all the pictures from the event on the Adorngirl Facebook page, some of the range is available on Asos now, with the rest of the range dropping in April.
