The classic Paul Costelloe woman we all know and love returned for AW15. The Irish designer now in his second season after a brief hiatus created a collection that playfully skirted amongst a modern Tudor, to pre-revolution Russia, and the 50s hostess. Heavy jacquard prints tweed and tartan ran throughout the collection, whether as an accent or full on, opening with short and flirty dresses in brocade shades of vibrant autumn rich tones. It will be a chic winter in Paul’s eyes, as silhouettes danced between flare coats, dropped waists edged with frills, and swing jackets. The underlying theme was sugar and spice, the feminine presentation was grounded, with over the knee black pop socks and buckle high thick heel ankle boots. The full hair and beauty look to complement the collection by Toni and Guy and Yin Lee for AOFM will shortly be on Adorn Adore with video, so keep an eye out on my Twitter updates for that and more backstage highlights throughout the week on instagram (@adorngirl).
Set in the amazing Waldorf Hilton Hotel, the Paul Costelloe AW15 presentation had a packed house, with Yasmin Le Bon, Donna Air and Millie Mackintosh front row in support. Make sure to check out my short highlights video from the show.
