Every now and again you come across an accessory that makes you stop and eep ‘where is that from?’ over the past few months it was the bunny blacked out sunglasses alongside the pom-pom caps at the Fashion in Motion catwalk, the pearl headphones at London Fashion Week, and bunny eared cap I saw on a passer-by in Shoreditch. It really is a small fashion world as each was connected to Bernstock Speirs, each hat was designed by them for Peter Jensen at the V&A, the same designer appointed Thelma, half of the Bernstock team as his muse, and well everyone dresses cool in Shoreditch so the dude was wearing the signature Bernstock Speirs bunny cap. Foolish of me not to make a prior appointment to drop in to their Shoreditch boutique but I was in the area for other press appointments and t would have been a crime not to say hi. unfortunately I missed Thelma but had a good chat with Paul Bernstock who had ideas of grandeur, and stated he was really the brains behind the operation ( only joking, only joking but Thelma if you’re reading this ooh to see your face, lol) no he was of course lovely shedding light on their passion for their craft which has been nearly twenty years in the making. Obviously their fun take on the genre of millinery for both men , and women have been original otherwise they wouldn’t still be the success they are. You can own your own iconic bunny with Lookk.com, customising the signature bunny cap with your own designs in the bunny couture shop you’d better get your skates on though…..
