Destined To Become A Queen

Whimsical texture is what I have come to associate with Bora Aksu, the signature layering of sheer silk organzas, and print transport the humble silhouettes of baby dolls, and dresses to fairytale proportions.  Gone were the deep reds, of Aw12 instead expect spring/ summer of 2013 according to Aksu, to be awash with  soft hues of romantic blues, dove grey and white; touches of vibrant yellow for sunnier times. The knitted crowns by Liria Pristine two days on are still on everyones lips, the woven crowns crafted  were the perfect frame for the plaits, and voluminous bird nest hair.  This styling makes me think of Alice in Wonderland the puff sleeves, and gossamer thin apron a nod to the classic but the actual inspiration was Marie grand-daughter of Queen Victoria; it is almost if each layer of the garment signifies the young princess sense of identity as she was born an English princess becoming a Romanian queen.  This is the second season Aksu collaborated with designer Bracher Emden, the selection of laser cut baguettes complemented by ofsetting the softness of the lace shfts, broacade skirts, and knitted collars; with deep laser etched design.
