Boudoir Lashes
“Oh you have really lovely lashes, what mascara do you use?” As I have fluttered my lashes in appreciation of the many compliments I have had over the two weeks it feels nice to know something that only a privileged few others know, “its Boudoir lashes” I would reveal in a smug aplomb. Boudoir lashes is a semi permanent individual eyelash extension service that is tailored to you. Applied by Founder and technician Asma Docrat in the South Kensington cosmetic boutique Becca London, be prepared for a relaxing session as she applies carefully selected lashes to enhance what you have already. Choices of looks include the flutter effect, the mascara effect, and volume effect and after the 45-minute session, my eyes looked wider with subtle length and a natural thickness, and there really has been no need to reach for the mascara wand. There was a bit of redness after the application but that was because for me it was difficult to keep my eyes closed for the length of time, they kept slightly fluttering open, but the redness disappeared by the next day. With anything there is a possibility of a reaction so consult Asma. The important bit is the aftercare, this is crucial to the length of time the lashes will last as I mentioned these are semi permanent and I waited two weeks to write this post to see just how long I could keep them. They lasted officially two and a half weeks, and I feel naked without them, but it is all depenendant on your lifestyle so could easily last much longer; I have four kids to bath so I am surprised they lasted a long as they did. The important bit the first 12-24 hours after application
- Do not touch the lashes (as much you are tempted to just touch don’t you dare!)
- Do not let moisture or water on the eyes when cleansing your face just use cotton wool or cleansing wipes, avoid steamy shower or bath
- Avoid contact between moisturisers, eye creams, oils, makeup removers, and your eyelash extensions.
