Bracher
It must have been my accessories hat taking over when I overlooked the gorgeousness that was the Bora Aksu show to focus solely on the bags, but once I caught a glance at the geometric clutches I was enamoured, and it quickly became a cat and mouse game, simultaneously taking pictures of the catwalk collection, whilst also trying to get good close-ups of the bags. I always respect when a designer takes the time to include accessories on a catwalk because really its part of a lifestyle, and completes a look; and as it turns out the clutches were created by Accessories designer Bracher Emden. Regular London fashion week goers this name should more than ring a bell with past collaborations with Jean Pierre Braganza, and Bryce Aime, Bracher has set his sights on working again with Bora Aksu which is a perfect fit with the cutting edge space age designs of the bag and London forward thinker Aksu. Meeting up with Team Emden at Konditor & Cook discussing fashion over coffee, and cake is always a good idea, they talked with such genuine enthusiasm about the designer humble beginnings; a Central St Martin Alumni ( can that school do nothing but churn out talent?) made each, and every leather bag by hand, the business solely made to order. Hard work, an original eye for detail, and simply undeniable design its not really a wonder that the selection of signature feminine futuristic purses, clutches & totes are on the arms of the fashion glitterati.
