Hope & Joy
Asian influence combined with neon, embellishment bamboo and camaflouge came together in visually stunning kaftans and dresses by Cassey Gan. This young designer has already gained experience interning at Alexander McQueen and Pam Hogg, and her venture into designing her own collection was deliberate with a conscience and purpose. The designer states “My collection celebrates the innocence of children and magnifies their child-like spirit – bamboo being representative of the immense burden that child labourers carry, and the bold colours are used as a visual language to invoke a sense of hope and joy. Ultimately, as a designer, I strongly believe that fashion has the influential power to make a positive difference.”
