Be Your Own Makeup Artist
Do you ever come across a brand that makes you ask the question why wasn’t anyone doing this before? At the Frontcover cosmetics AW12 collection preview their makeup capsule collections were making me ask just that. The philosophy that you can be the make up artist is ingenious, as their catwalk fashion trend inspired kits are basic step by step instructions with images of how to achieve said look. Let’s start with my gold, silver, and bronze picks; Bronze went to The Dark Arts a nail artwork kit not just containing any run of the mill nail polishes, but bespoke nail art stickers, jewels, glitter glue, specialist dotting tool, striping brush, and other tools to complete the included tutorial ideas. Nails have become just as important in a beauty regime, and I like how the tools can be used with other varnishes if you wanted to utilise more colourways.
The silver pick, narrowly missing the gold went to colour to go a selection of twenty baked eyeshadow powders in iridescent vibrant colours, that did not fade on my dark complexion. The colours were good, but what really sold me on this kit was the click in, and out mirror compact; you can interchange the shades, making each colour portable. The shadowbase primer turns any of the eyeshadows into an eyeliner. I love this product so much it needs to be typed again……. the shadow base primer (with a nib like a slender felt tip) turns any eyeshadow into a eyeliner. My gold pick was another nail kit, but it was just too gorgeous to pass up ( Kissogram marginally missing out of medal glory coming fourth) Sparkler is just an excuse to dip your hands in glitter, one of the three glitter pots is a fine black glitter that shimmers like ground diamonds in black coal. Frontcover is now exclusively selling through their own site, and these kits and more from the AW12 collection will be available late September.
