Dark Arts

I have always wanted to be one of those girls that had the great nails whether a Wah girl or  the ladies that lunch with chic classic french manicure; but I have working hands so apart from clean dry and short, those styles have eluded me. I have already gushed about Frontcover but now I can show you in  a little bit more detail about Dark Arts.  The brand ethos is about combining fashion trends and interpreting styles colours, and techniques in to beauty, essentially giving you all the tools in the trade for a specific look in one elegant box. Dark Arts is a sophisticated nail art set that makes things so simple so just follow the photographic instructions on the inside and back of the box and voila.  Included are

  • 4 Nail Polishes
  • 1 Clear Top Coat
  • 3 Sets of Bespoke Printed Nail Stickers
  • 1 Nail Art Brush
  •  Nail Decoration in Pots
  •  Dotting Tool
  • Orange Stick
  • Scissors
  • Mini Tweezers
  • Nail File
  • Nail Art Glue

You really won’t be disappointed and couldn’t think of a better gift;  what I love about the set are that the nail colours are such a high quality on their own that sometimes you will not even need to do anything else  but apply two coats with a slick of the topcoat.  I thought the embellishments and glitter would be really fiddly to apply but again so simple and was really impresses.  The only negative or at least tale of caution is the nail stickers. I do love the design, and brilliant application; but like I said I have working hands so they didn’t last very long at all; sliding around, the design actually wering away by the second day of wear  so bear that in mind, probably best on a night out, with not too much contact with water.  Overall excellent value for money because it provides the stepping stone to this seasons beauty looks straight from the catwalk and you can mix it up with any nail varnish you already have, pop over to Mel who has some great variations on what else you can do. This set is priced at £25.
