Dunce

Opening the Westminster graduate catwalk the first model emerged from billowing smoke, the playful conical hats made me think of dunce caps when naughty students had to sit at the back of the class; an idea supported by the lone models seated on wooden chairs from Hannah lookbook.  Please do not take offence when I use a reference to another designer, it is just that fashion dictates there are only a certain amount of styles, and shapes that can be done that women will wear so when I think of Hannah Duckworth the graphic circular shape of the jackets and coats made me think of classic Raf Simons Jil Sander woman.  I am complimenting the slick attention to detail, as this is not a replica of Raf Simons but within the same design family of strong shapes with a twist of colour modernising the idea of patchwork in a plethora of pink, green, orange, mustard, and exposed black zips.
