London is a hub of chic bars, Hipster hangouts and luxury dining. With so much choice, it can be both a blessing and a curse, but if you were in the mood for a luxury informal setting but quality food, consider Indigo.  Located on the mezzanine above the buzzing Lobby Bar at One Aldwych London, is the intimate Indigo restaurant.   Whether you are already a guest of the hotel or not, enjoy the menu of gluten and dairy free fine food, which  incorporates the finest seasonal ingredients courtesy of Executive Chef Dominic Teague.

I was a guest at One Aldwych, as part of their Film and Fizz with Curzon experience, and before the champagne reception at the private screening we sat down to a classic meal.  The current Indigo a la carte menu boasts starters of watercress soup, venison tartare, and Yorkshire Partridge. We opted for delicious morsels of seared scallops, and cured salmon. From the grill is a  decadent selection of mains from grass fed beef to whole lemon sole served with a side of truffle mayonnaise, hand cut chips, and salad.  Desserts are truly delectable, and I couldn’t resist the banana parfait, peanut butter cookie with bitter chocolate sorbet.  The hosts were lovely enough to substitute in a mulled wine berry compote dessert as my friend was allergic to nuts. The evening was lovely, and I can’t wait to go back again.
