Shoes for Show is the latest exhibition by Javari UK for all us die-hard shoe fans, showcasing shoes specifically constructed for beauty; well if you were a fan there should be a cardinal rule of one particularly special pair sitting prominently in your space of choice with no intention of letting see the light of day, protecting it from being scuffed on the London pavements. This special showing includes shoes personally donated by Daphne Guinness, and Beyoncé ( her Gareth Pugh which she recently wore in the ‘run the world’ video) proving what I knew all along that heels were are an art. My favourite, and seemingly everyone elses’ going by the twittersphere was the Nicholas Kirkwood Alice In Wonderland Shoes, truly beautiful, playful miniature teapots and clock trinkets covered the shoe, with chessboard check pattern on the heel, the busyness of the really encompassed the classic fairy tale story. The concept isn’t all about celebrity and couture but also celebrates innovative design in footwear including Chau Har Lee, Natacha Marro, and Joanne Stoker. Please remember this is an exhibition so don’t ask to touch, buy or try on the shoes, Alice let me know that these were some of the requests, and I laughed in agreement as to imply why are people so silly, but really I was thinking Ohwa! The exhibition is completely free, and open to the public from 4-8th November from 11am-7pm except Sunday 11am-5pm, at The Loading Bay, 91 Brick Lane, E1 6QL.

pssst…. the show has now officially eneded so pop over to my Adorngirl FB page like, and enjoy the rest of the collection

I wish I’d known you were going to this! I couldn’t get off work, sad to have missed you. I went to see the exhibition with David today though, so impressive, loved the Pugh boot plus this ballet pump xx
ps, I’m reading ALL your posts, but can’t comment from my phone for some reason (and don’t go on the laptop much these days, unless I’m posting!)
