I have long been a fan of Kirsty Ward, ever since I saw her debut collection at Fashion Scout ones to watch a few years ago at LFW.  The young designer from then has gone strength to strength cementing her signature use of aluminium wire in statement tiered necklaces continuing to  incorporate these original pieces  into the necklines of her garments. This AW13 she was inspired by Ice Hockey uniforms. Each piece beautiful in their own right but impactful when layered;  her take is a selection of  dresses with  panels  in metallic leather stripes and mesh in a  striking palette of pale grey, black, rich turquoise and rustic orange.  This season the accessory line is a bit more tribal (albeit high fashion tribal)  with  metal tracks, Swarovski crystals as well as wood and glass beads.

It is about time that bags have been added to the repertoire; the collaboration with British designer, Sarah Williams of Williams Handmade has produced a capsule collection  of rucksacks to three different styles of satchel, available in a grey, pink and turquoise. Doing nothing by halves all the bags feature detachable interchangeable straps.  Take a leaf through the look book below I love the styling of the collection  by Sarah Barlow, Shop the current SS13 Kirsty Ward collection on Young British designers
