I am forgoing 2015 new year resolutions, but if I were to make life changes it would definitely be to eat more cake. Life is too short not to indulge and with a pick of London afternoon teas, there really isn’t an excuse not to be a lady who lunches. Somewhere to consider is the Lancaster London Hotel signature afternoon tea designed by Chef Ben Purton. Their ethos is to lavish you with the hotels combinations of sandwiches, warm scones with homemade jam alongside moreish clotted cream, and desserts in the comfort of their vast lounge. Time flew by as myself and Kirsty chatted over cappuccinos and lattés.

Expect a delicious savoury selection of roast beef filled Yorkshire pudding with horseradish cream, smoked salmon, egg and wild cress and classic cucumber sandwiches. It was more of a challenge spying the gorgeous desserts and not eating them first. which included white chocolate and raspberry lollipops, passion fruit macaroons, lemon fruit tarts and more.

The Lancaster London Hotel Afternoon tea is available in the hotel’s first floor lounge every day from 2pm until 5.30pm. Keep a look out for their upcoming limited edition tea for the family that I know you will love
