Six and half years ago I created this blog to be able to get a Fashion Editor job at Elle. I was a full time mum and I wanted to show my future employer that I wasn’t jut sitting at home for five years. Obviously being a house wife and mum is bloody hard work but I honestly feel that people don’t recognise that. I wanted to be able to rock up to the interview and be like I am a full time mum, and I have collaborated and worked with X,Y Z . Now the kids have started school, funnily the blog is my actual job. It has evolved past a living portfolio to a London lifestyle diary.
Grab a Prontissimoment
There is no such thing as a typical day in blogging. The best part of being a full-time Blogger is that no day is exactly the same. One day is the best day ever, whether it is a trip to Paris, centre court at Wimbledon or backstage at the hottest catwalk show. Other days seem to be basic admin. You are catching up on emails, calling in samples and attending meetings to hear about the latest releases. As a Photographer most of my time is dedicated to taking pictures of still life for the blog and brands.
It is easy for hours to pass when setting up still life and shooting so it is important to take a breather. With the launch of Lavazza premium instant coffee Prontissimo, it is all about taking your time when you can. In lieu of slower living, my Prontissimoment is taking a delicious break with a Prontissimo Intenso Affogato. So quick and simple to make, the hit of caffeine is exactly what I need. A couple of scoops of vanilla ice cream, drenched in strong hot black coffee is a dessert that cheekily works as my daily coffee. I even top with Monty Bojangles milky mischief truffles, I deserve it!
This post was in collaboration with Lavazza Prontissimo Intenso and Medio is available in Tesco, Ocado, Waitrose, and of course Lavazza.
