Belle De Jour

Romantic is definitely a buzz word bandied around when describing a collection that is opulent and whimsical but as much I don’t want to say it, set within the decadence of the ballroom in the Savoy the Fyodor Golan duo created a romantic yet striking collection of structured gowns, and separates. Not as theatrical as previous seasons, but I am glad they are never conventional. There was a play on surface textiles, with heavy beading, pattern and quilting, with ostentatious flashes of skin the model barely containing her modesty in a completely sheer black shirt, but accompanied by a floor length divine peplum skirt with painted detail.  Smoothed back hair with mussed wavy ends was complemented by the dewy skin, and blood-red lips by the AOFM team.
