London Fashion Week AW15 is officially over and before you could even say FROW, fashion has moved on to Milan. We hadn’t yet seen the graffiti gangster Looney Tunes from Moschino, and Max Mara channelling Marilyn Monroe on the beach, circa 1962, opening with Gigi Hadid. Instead my last day was a whirlwind of exhibition appointments, massage and pampering at The Apartment, and Funkin cocktails with Kirsty as we reminisced about the week.
My haven from the fashion week bustle, this season the Apartment partnered with Shopstyle. Over the week in between shooting street style and covering backstage with AOFM and Toni and Guy I relaxed on comfy sofas, eating Aubaine patisserie and catching the LFW catwalks that I had missed, on the big screen. My hands are still so soft from the in house massage using all Ren oils from ASOS beauty. On the last morning there was just enough time to snap a few of the stylish bloggers before jumping into my Apartment Hyundai car which whizzed me to Somerset House. Throughout the week the cars have been an absolute saviour, getting me to exactly where I need to go, avoiding the rain and painful feet syndrome.
The Designer Exhibitions
Every season I have every intention to go to the exhibition on the weekend but like other seasons I went on the last day. There is so much to see spanning womenswear, millinery and footwear, and it would be easy to spend the whole day meandering from room to room and still not see everyone. For me it was all about the jewellery and accessories, from the animal Cleo Ferin Mercury silk scarves, to Kasun at JAPR, fan girling at Kirsty Ward, MFP, and upcoming jewellery Designers at Black PR. I took plenty of shots so make sure to subscribe to not miss those posts.
Funkin with Kirsty
My time was short on the last day but there is always time for Funkin cocktails with Kirsty, we gabbed about the shows, over Funkin Strawberry daiquiris and cosmopolitans, on the rooftop bar of the Me London Hotel. Make sure to check out my London Fashion week takeover of the Funkin Pinterest account. I curated Funkin LFW style which is all about funky and interesting street style for London Fashion Week. They love colour and enjoy the best cocktails. The Funkin party hub captured exactly what Funkin is all about, which is fun and getting together and emulating coveted London Fashion week after parties.
