Billed as a presentation the Palmer Harding AW14 showcase was more like a catwalk. The models weaving around giant rolls of paper with streaks of green light that matched their chokers. This is my first time seeing this design duo at London Fashion week, I was a guest of the show sponsor Sheaffer pen, which was incorporated into the collection inspired by paper, tucked into the shirt like you may secure a pen lid over the corner of a notepad page. The collection cleverly mimicked the different textures of paper from the folds of the frills accentuating the sharply tailored crisp white shirts to the cut-out top that looked like carefully shredded paper. My twitter feed was abuzz with what a different direction this collection was for them, and I look forward to seeing their show next season.
