Brighter Days Ahead
Being a Philosophy girl seeing ‘ please join Philosophy as we discover a new and exciting skincare breakthrough’ in my email brought a huge smile to my face; set inside Il Bottocio amongst leading magazine beauty Editors I was regaled with the latest products by the established brand. Even though we were all excited to hear what was new, it was great to see the range of scrubs, washes, and powders on display a great reminder of where the brand started, skincare, still being the core of what they are all about. Recognise any favourites? The launch was all about peels ( and yes Samantha from sex & the city did pop straight in to my head) specifically the microdelivery triple acid brightening peel (try saying it really fast three times) the talk was really about breaking apart the myth of peels, and demonstrating how Philosophy have taken the genre of peels to simplicity.
We were all given a sample to test of the peel which where were pre-moistened cotton wool pads to use on the back of our hands and whilst we rubbing the solution on waiting for the next step or product to circulate , she announced “yeah you’re done, that’s it,” trust me there was room of bewildered faces? what? we don’t wash it off? no cream, serum, or rain dance to complement the product? Nope. Just 30 seconds of your time, once a week, wipe the pad across your t-zone face, and neck ( avoid the eyes) and for good measure the back of your hand in the evening, and you’re done. If you have particularly sensitive skin you do wash off, and if you choose to use during the day make sure to use sunscreen as well as your moisturiser; The results smoother and brighter skin. Set to be available 5 September as well as a peel bar….
