The power of summer pop up park is officially open, head to Battersea Power station for delicious food and drink from the Street Feast London Collective, Indytute masterclasses for the family, and watch classic and cult films from Rocky to Pinocchio under the sun, courtesy of the open Everyman cinema. We all had the same idea as the crowd made a beeline for foodie ones to watch breakout stars Le Bun. The French American fusion fine dining for street food, was freaking delicious. I had the shredded beef bun teamed with truffle mayo fries, which was delectable, it was fine that it got a bit messy.
The Everyman Cinema was screening Reservoir Dogs, I had my pink headphones, what seemed like a keg size cocktail, tub of double chocolate ice-cream and grabbed a bean bag on the grass. You can choose from bespoke two or four person pods with waiter service included. I could just about stomach the ear cutting scene before I threw in the towel, but during the day there are family films suitable for the kids. The 6 week holiday is annoyingly on the doorstep, so this will be ideal especially as Indytute are offering up cool things to do such as the mothers meeting knitting class for a fiver! with The Wool and the Gang (kids go free). How about a Fat Buddha yoga workout for some Zen? there are lots going on, so book now to avoid disappointment as limited places.
From Thursday 10 July – Sunday 31 August. The park is open from 4pm daily and general admission is free from Monday to Wednesday and before 6pm on Thursdays and Fridays, or £4 after and on weekends. Make sure you get down early to get the full experience because it is bound to be hella busy.
