Chocolate Heaven

I have always said that I love chocolate so much I could bath in it, so when I came across the raw chocolate organic skincare products by ehtical brand Raw Gaia I literally jumped from my desk chair in glee, my fingers couldn’t type fast enough for a sample request. In the end I was sent a complimentary Bath time heaven gift set ( normal retail price £32.99) comprised of 4 Raw chocolate orange bath melts, 50g jar raw chocolate face pack, 1 bar of raw rose geranium soap. I have been testing the products for just under 4 weeks to get a truly accurate test for my skin, so first up to start with the negative, just to get it out of the way; the rose geranium soap. I do love its rawness, the jagged edges look as if it was just broken off from nature, but I found the soap to be too harsh; it is for the face, and body but in both cases I found that it dried out my skin a little too much.

Raw Chocolate Face Pack

The raw chocolate face pack is the star ( be careful when you first open it though, there is no protective film to pierce) it is a raw chocolate powder, also containing sun-dried red clay ideal for sensitive skin, organic turmeric , and organic amla fruit powder that you mix into a paste, and slather on to your face as a soothing face mask. When I first used it I definitely did not get the consistency right, it was very watery, and made my skin feel very tight as the mask dried, and was unpleasant. The best way is to use roughly a teaspoon, and a half of powder into a small bowl, and very slowly add tiny bits of water mixing as you go. I was left with mousse like paste, and it made so much difference, it went on to my skin like velvet, and dried like clay be warned you may want to lick you face. My skin which is prone to breakouts is much clearer, and also softer, for best results I recommend once or twice a week, washing off after 10-15 minutes.

Raw chocolate orange bath melts

Last but certainly not least the chocolate orange bath melts which is compressed organic cocoa butter, and sweet orange essential oil dissolve 1 melt in a hot bath, and release the chocolate orange aroma, my skin felt softer and moisturised even after the first melt piece. For best results I recommended adding your favourite bubble bath as well as the melt so you can really be really immersed in chocolate
