Your fragrance can be such a personal thing, it can help to define your style and be the first introduction to what is a lifetime beauty staple. It is only with more fragrance reviews that I have started to analyse perfume beyond, a basic adage of does it smell nice? Notes are more than just layers and ingredients, each commissioned Perfumer needs to blend the components to get it right. A perfume story is set to embody our senses and provide a narrative when wearing the perfume. It is said that to be happy is to find joy in the simple things. Fragrance can be the place to start.
Eponymous design House Salvatore Ferragamo with Perfumers Nicolas Beaulieu, Sophie Labbè, Juliette Karagueuzoglou have released Signorina Misteriosa, and model Grace Hartzel was appointed as the face of the perfume. The fragrance successfully marries the dark and the pretty, compounded by the black angular bottle with accents of rose gold, offset with the pretty bow. The initial deep sweetness from the berries, settles into an alluring deep note that isn’t musky that remains sweet without being sugary, which is the vanilla mousse. I tend to favour the luxury floriential fragrance family because of the quality of the ingredients and sweet nature, without being to light. Even after one spray I was like ‘yes’ because this kind of enveloping scent is right up my street, and one I can justify wearing all day. The scent easily transfers from day to night.
