Let me start by saying I am the sex & the city ‘Carrie’ of phones I know nothing about them, all I need to know is can it make calls? and can I receive them? As time has gone on, blogging and social media have become paramount to my everyday so now my questions are what is the camera picture quality like? does it support instragram? what kind of internet access is available? can I check my emails? For the past two years I have relied on my Samsung galaxy tablet but I couldn’t resist requesting a sample to trial and test when the red Limited edition Samsung SIII press release dropped in to my inbox.
Well suffice to say it makes calls, and receives them yay! but seriously this phone did not win the T3 gadet awards 2012 phone of the year for no reason. Lets start with the superficial, it is gorgeously thin with a great HD high resolution clear wide-screen, especially brilliant watching videos. Some of the pictures in this post were taken using the 8-megapixel S3 camera, a great touch were the pre-installed art effects including warm and cool vintage which has a softer effect than what is the one on instagram as well as polarize, and posterize which I used most often. You can tag your family and friends photos so giving them even more of an excuse to report you on Facebook as it automatically uploads. Now the cool part; the Samsung techs really outdid themselves as they have made it possible to watch HD videos while surfing the net or sending texts, as lets face most of us are always doing at least 2-3 things at once. The navigation was very smooth and with a quick swipe if there were multiple websites opened the pages swiveled (easily impressed) there is even an option to tidy up unused apps.
Trust me there are a lot more great features, and this is one of those smartphones that even if you have it a long time you will discover something new about it. The travel charger is very handy as the cable has a USB end that can plug straight in to the computer so you can upload or download files both ways and it simultaneously charges as well. just like on other Samsung devices apps are easy to download through google play; I freaking love this phone, and if you want more technical bits visit here, but the red S3 is exclusive to Carphone Warehouse.
