Summer is here (its London, it comes and goes) so that means, barbecues, Wimbledon, and days out, whether it rains or not. If you enjoy a chilled tumbler of gin in the sun, you should be really happy to hear about The Botanist Gin and Selfridges cocktail masterclasses in the gin garden on the Selfridges roof top terrace. Last night at the Harry’s Gordon bar I was introduced to the botanical gin (46%) that is distilled and crafted on the island of Islay. Twenty-two local herbs and flowers are foraged on Islay and expertly augmented by nine classic gin botanicals, to create this delicious dry gin.
The Botanist Gin are collaborating with Selfridges London by presenting four new cocktails, each one using ingredients foraged in London. Selfridges customers at Harry’s Gordon bar, the Corner restaurant and champagne bar, Aubaine, and Forest will be able to enjoy a cocktail special to each venue including :The Botanist Fizz, The Urban Botanist, The Botanist Wild Cherry, and the Botanist Garden.
Both brands don’t do anything by halves, as the collaboration began with the Botanist led Slefridges’ bartenders on a foraging expedition through Hampstead Heath to harvest a selection of wild ingredients; the hallmark of the Botanist ethos. These were then infused with the Botanist Gin to create delicious and innovative syrups.
Located on the iconic Selfridges rooftop, For very limted time, the gin garden hosting cocktail masterclasses will be taking place from 22nd June until the 3rd July. Tickets are now available to purchase
