This is my version of a monthly favourites round up. I have been told many times that this blog can seem a bit random, but I am owning it, because sometimes I am random. The only niche part about this Adorngirl space is the focus on photography, but otherwise it’s fair game. I am a visual magpie that is inspired by so many things, and here is what I have seen and tried in January, that have been memorable.
Mother of Pearl London
Congratulations to Mother of Pearl London who are part of the final British Fashion council/Vogue fashion fund shortlist. This year, the luxury brand are up against Huishan Zhang, Osman, Palmer Harding, Shrimps, Sophie Hulme and Toogood. The seven labels hope to secure £200,000, which includes mentoring and support. For the first time,” in recognition of the increasing pool of deserving talent”, the coveted fund will be shared by up to three of the finalists.

“Lord George is a wealthy and respected man, the archetypal patriarch. He seems to embody the noblest values of the aristocracy: virtue, respect, loyalty and faithfulness. His fragrance reflects his essence; seemingly traditional, yet with hidden secrets. “The flesh is weak.”
Wouldn’t life be so boring if there weren’t stories? and Penhaligon’s really know how to paint a picture. The Penhaligon’s Portraits collection continues the narrative with the Tragedy of Lord George that is sweet, boozy and woody.
I am sure it is probably not normal, how much I love Kilner® jars. I am so excited to be collaborating with them, and I get to show you how to mix it up, in how you use them. I upcycled their anniversary jar into a table lamp. Do you like?
Pretty Little Liars
I am by no means the best writer, but I had such an amazing response from my pretty little liars post, that is has really encouraged me to amend that. My writing style is quite dry, and doesn’t reflect how I actually talk, and my personality, which I vow to work on. Pretty little liars is basically about the few bloggers cheating their way to the top, and apparently getting away with it. The subject is something we are all talking about, and is something that really gets under my skin. Once I started to write, my fingers were a blur across the keyboard, and I only stopped to look up, when I was done. After a look over from my blogger bestie Kirsty, I felt so proud to press publish.
