I love living in London, but because I have always lived here I may take it for granted. This year I am aiming to actually explore my city and venture on to unbeaten paths; braving gorgeous places I walk past all the time, but never actually go in. Fitzrovia off Regent Street, may not be slumming it, but tucked away on Mortimer street is Workshop, where I met up with Kirsty for lunch.
Small but perfectly formed, the Workshop coffee co. coffee bar holds a selection of handmade pastries, cakes and sandwiches. Everything is delivered from a local bakery fresh everyday, and there was plenty to choose from. One sandwich and two desserts each was about right, paired with matching lattés on a vintage table, and comfy sofas. See, somewhere I have known about but never experienced and may very well become a regular haunt. The next plan is to visit the Clerkenwell road branch for their modern international cuisine.
