Gladiator Princess
This season there has been a re-occurring trend of utilising surface textiles, the design emphasis directed and focused upon how the fabric can be manipulated, and built for maximum effect. Reminiscent of the neon princess gladiator of Christopher Kane RTW 2007 once again fashion comes full circle; well maybe oval because they are innovations that make them different from their earlier incarnations. Commercial success dictates that fashion needs to meet the needs of the climate and having the practical option of great seperates means being able to effortlessly glide between the seasons. Yvonne Kwok created layered separates ( another major trend) complementary textures of fluffy pom-pom embellishments, against rigid studded corset, frill knitwear floating chiffon, and fine string lace up throughout.
