A different kind of Woodstock
The irony is that this hotel feature is categorised under London life, but I took a trip to Woodstock Oxfordshire for a staycation which are so in right now at four star hotel Feathers.
I was an invited guest of Feathers Hotel, which was a hop, skip, train and bus from London to Oxfordshire, in the heart of the historic market town of Woodstock. Inside the beautiful 17th century town house Feathers is the epitome of Cotswolds charm, and checking into the superior double suite was a dream. Consisting of a bedroom, lounge, (pink walk in wardrobe!) standalone bath and shower room, the resistance was strong to not throw myself on to the plush bed. The benefit of a staycation is that there is a sense of home from home, although my place isn’t as luxurious as Feather’s, it was nice to be able to get a night away from the kids, and work. Dinner was just as good as it looked, and turning in I took full advantage of the epic tub. The bath was made for Ferragamo bubbles, and I relished in the quiet, I don’t get much quiet with four kids at home. Breakfast in bed the next morning was the perfect way to end my stay, and I can see myself going back for a special treat away.
