Sponsored: Haagan Dazs Lose Yourself
The school summer holidays are nearly up, and in a matter of weeks I will be marching each of the mini adorn kids through the school gates. The six weeks is normally something I dread because it means having to keep four kids fed and entertained from morning to night, but this one feels different. It has been so fun! Put it down to the great weather or the fact the twins will be finally going to school full-time, but the days have flown. I am taking one day at a time, and appreciating the little moments.
As a mum, my job is put my family first, but it's important to take time for yourself. I absolutely love the message behind the Haagen-Dazs campaign. I have long been a fan of Photographer Adam Katz Sinding and his portrayal of utter moments of joy for the brand back in July exhibited in Vogue is all about losing yourself. The digital age has made us all so self-aware, and having the need to always be 'on.' It's a great idea for your own personal sanity, to get lost in what you love, and spoil yourself for the sake of it. Turn off the TV, and pick up a book. Call a friend instead of commenting on their instagram. A perfect place to start is with the new Haagen-Dazs ice cream on a stick. Right now I am relishing the quiet as the kids are sound asleep, and I am biting into the Haagen-Dazs white chocolate and almond ice cream stick bar. This is a spoiler but be prepared for the delicious chunks of caramelised almonds embedded in the thick creamy vanilla ice cream. I am saving the salted caramel for tomorrow!
This post was in collaboration with Haagen Dazs, the ice cream stick bars are available at Tesco Express & Co-op
