The Dairy played host to the Ba (Hons) Fashion catwalk yesterday, and LCF really know how to draw in the crowd; with lovely fellow blogger Carrie from WishWishWish, Jane Shepherdson, Chief Executive of Whistles, and renowned Fashion Journalist Hilary Alexander, to name a few among a heaving crowd. This year’s students were not afraid to play around with proportion, and the collections were awash with colour, textures, and heavy embellishments. Design & Technology award went to Yelena Loguiiko, The coveted collection of the year winner was Nattaphon Sampataphdee. The award for Fashion Textiles went to Karishma Shahani, and this year’s winner for The Barnett Lawson Trimmings Award for Best Use of Embellishment, was Vilvan Sabu, both designers were my ones to watch. This post is just a teaser of the presentation, as I would like to really dedicate the standout designers for their own post, next week alongside the video footage I have to edit. Combined with coverage of Graduate Fashion week, it’s going to be all about the graduates.
